1. Tried this before. Generally speaking this is possible, but it depends on a lot of other factors... (time / text book / students' abilities... and so on)
1. Students' abilities vary, and their attention span tends to be rather limited. Furthermore, it could further hinder students' understanding when covering more difficult parts (e.g. grammar, background knowledge of literature...)
1. Some students welcome it as a self-challenge / bridging opportunity to education abroad. Yet personally I'd assert that keeping English / Chinese around 80 /20 in class is perhaps a more feasible way to go for.
1. If all English is what we are heading for, I'd suggest that our textbook needs to be more "interactive" and provide more up-to-date topics to interest students... While I do agree that the importance of reading ability cannot be over-emphasized, still I hear from time to time that students complain about our textbook as "boring" / "didactic" or "unrelated to real life." I should argue that these remain facts we need to face.
